The members and management of Red Rock Country Club will be proud to present the fifth annual Red Rock Golf Classic charity golf tournament, benefiting Operation Homefront Nevada, on November 4, 2015 to continue the mission of supporting our nation's heroes and their families living in Nevada. To date since 2011, the Red Rock Golf Classic has raised almost $300,000 for the benefit of charities that support and assist Veterans and their families in Nevada.

Many members of our Military return from deployment with physical or emotional injuries.

Many find themselves unemployed, under employed, even homeless.

Many of their families experience a high level of sacrifice.

Nevada has a significant population of Veterans, and the needs of many of them along with their families is high.

All funds donated will be designated to assist Military Veterans and their families in Nevada.

Operation Homefront NevadaOperation Homefront, Inc. (OH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in February 2002. It was developed to support the families of deployed service members immediately following 9/11. Operation Homefront is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, and has evolved into a major nonprofit. The organization currently provides services to military families across the nation with 25 chapters. The majority of their clients are the lowest-paid service members, the E-1 through E-6 enlisted ranks. The target population is American military personnel and/or their families who have unmet needs due to financial hardship, death, injury, or physical or mental detriment as a result of service in Iraq or Afghanistan.

OH provides direct services to alleviate a military family’s or individual’s actual/complete emergency financial burden, as well as counseling and/or recovery support. Emergency financial assistance is in the form of checks paid directly to mortgage lenders, auto mechanics, contractors, hospitals, doctors, dentists and other providers.

93 cents of every dollar donated to OH directly supports those in need, a remarkably high percentage. OH has the highest rating – four stars – for seven straight years from Charity Navigator. Only two percent of the charities rated by Charity Navigator have received at least seven consecutive four-star evaluations.

Our beneficiary will be the Nevada chapter Operation Homefront Nevada (OHN) which was formed in 2007.
